Meet Alex & Alyssa

Hey! We’re Alex and Alyssa and we’re so excited to bring organic whole foods and conscious living solutions to Kawana on the Sunshine Coast.

Before kids, our dream was to open a whale watching business where we could inspire others to live sustainably and care for our oceans. While that dream is on hold for now, our passion for the environment and healthy living is stronger than ever. Sunshine Coast Wholefoods grew from that love of nature and our desire to make sustainable choices simple, affordable, and accessible for everyone.

One of the best parts of what we do is watching our community make small changes that lead to big results. Whether it’s switching to eco friendly cleaning products, refilling jars instead of buying new ones, or choosing organic and local produce, every choice makes a difference.

How to Shop

You can choose to shop with the paper bags we provide in store or bring your own jars, containers, bottles, or bags to fill with your favourite products.

If you don’t have your own, we have beautiful jars and bottles available for purchase. You can even bring in a bottle that’s not empty yet, we’ll simply weigh it and you can refill what you need. It’s easy, practical, and helps reduce waste every time you shop.

What you can expect to find in our store

Most of our products are stocked in bulk tubs or jars so you can buy exactly the amount you need. This not only reduces plastic waste, especially when you bring your own containers, but also cuts down on food waste because you can scoop just what your recipe calls for.

Our cleaning and personal care range works the same way. You’ll find eco friendly bulk liquids that you can refill into your own bottles or one of our amber glass bottles. Stop paying for plastic bottles full of harsh chemicals and instead refill with products that are kind to your body and the planet. Some of our favourite brands include Kin Kin Naturals, Simply Clean, Biologika, and Dr Planet.

You’ll also find everything you need for a happy organic pantry: flours, nuts, seeds, granola, dried fruits, beans and pulses, herbs and spices, loose leaf teas, superfood powders, local honey, and plenty of organic snacks and chocolates. We have a great selection of premium gluten free and vegan products, including pastas that are so good your non gluten free family members will be stealing them.

Our eco home and body products are another customer favourite. We’re proud to stock local brands like Go For Zero and Noosa Basics, alongside other beautiful Australian-made products that support a cleaner, greener future.
